Travelling to College

Our campuses are served by the local public transport network and students get to the College by bus and train.

There is also parking on site for those wishing to drive. General information can be found on this page and there are links below with specific information for travelling to each campus, including routes, timetables, and bursaries.

Financial Support for Travel

There are various sources of support available for travelling to College, including bus passes and railcards.

If you are aged 16-18 and your parent(s)/guardian(s) who you live with are unemployed and in receipt of benefits or employed but earning a low wage, you may be eligible for financial help towards the cost of transport to college.

Find key information below or visit our main website here for more details.

Wiltshire Bus Pass

Wiltshire Council provides a transport pass to Wiltshire College & University Centre students who are aged between 16 – 18 and who live in Wiltshire and more than 3 miles from the college. The travel scheme allows you to make one journey to and from college on days when it is open and costs £821 and a lower rate of £266 if your household income is less than £20,819. To find out more about the options open to you please visit the Wiltshire Council website.

Do you live in Wiltshire but are not eligibile for the lower rate Wiltshire Council transport pass?

For most students the full cost of the Wiltshire Council transport pass is not the most cost-effective way to get to college. Instead we recommend purchasing season or daily tickets for your travel directly from the transport provider of your chosen route. More information can be found below, follow the link to find information specific to your campus.

16-17 Saver railcard

The 16 – 17 Saver card can save you 50% on the cost of all your train travel. Find out more here. Students travelling by train to Trowbridge on Great Western Railway (GWR) may be eligible for a subsidised train pass. Please contact 03457660228 and ask about a Scholar Season Ticket.

Car Parking

Parking is free on all college campuses. Our car parks are monitored by Parking Eye: you must register your car when you park.

Travelling to college from outside Wiltshire?

Usually the best option for our students is to look at purchasing season tickets from the transport provider of your chosen route. Follow the link above to your campus, where you can find application forms and information about travelling to college from other counties.
