Develop your understanding of the Life Sciences with an inspiring course at Wiltshire College & University Centre.
Our courses allow you to specialise in biology, chemistry, physics, science investigation, physiology of human systems, scientific practical techniques, forensic fire investigation, forensic traffic collision investigation, criminology and criminal and forensic psychology.
Our Life Sciences faculty boasts a dedicated and expanding team of lecturers who are subject experts with specialisms in chemistry, forensic science, biomedical science, biology, microbiology, health and nutrition, physics and neuroscience. So wherever your science interests lie, you’re sure to find a course to challenge and inspire you.
You will be supported and encouraged to undertake an extended work placement in the form of a collaborative project with an industry-leading employer. Our students have previously worked with companies such as Porton Biopharma, Salisbury District Hospital, Hale Veterinary Group, Glentham Life Sciences and Boots, to mention just a few.
Our work placement opportunities support the development of classroom-based learning and help equip learners with the practical scientific skills that employers are looking for.
Where can our courses take you? Some of our learners will remain with the College as part of our first cohort of undergraduates for our new suite of Live Science Foundation Degrees which start this September. Other learners have successfully applied to a wide range of Universities and have received offers on the following undergraduate degree courses: Mental Health Nursing, Biomedical Sciences, Criminology, Environmental Science, Primary Teaching Training with Science specialism, Forensic Science, Biology with Genetics and Psychology.
