We offer technical certificates in both hairdressing and barbering at our Trowbridge, Salisbury and Chippenham campuses.

Our hairdressing qualifications covers a wide range of practical skills and knowledge required for working in the hairdressing industries. You’ll learn about the principles of hairdressing and barbering services, how to shampoo, condition and treat the hair and scalp, style set and dress hair, cut hair using basic techniques and colour and lighten hair.

The barbering qualification includes basic areas such as shampooing, conditioning and cutting of hair but will also cover facial hair and how to create outlines in the hair to obtain different styles.

You’ll train and be assessed in our Aspire Salons of Hair and Beauty with clients who are members of the public, building your confidence and putting your learning into practice using industry-standard products.

With the opportunity to work with local employers and benefit from workshops run by industry professionals from well-known companies such as Babyliss, your learning will be enriched and provide you with a solid foundation for your career in hairdressing and barbering.
