Our Arts and Design courses are designed to be broad and exploratory, allowing you to find your own strengths as a creative practitioner.

You'll develop art, design and communication skills, working on briefs and themes. There are opportunities to study a range of subject areas including printmaking, fine art, 3D design, graphic design and drawing techniques. You will be taught by experienced and dedicated lecturers who are themselves creative practitioners with relevant professional experience, supported by technicians working in industry standard studios and workshops.

Regular visits to exhibitions both regionally and in London will enrich your classroom learning.

After completing a Level 3 course with us you'll be able to progress onto our highly regarded, one-year pre-degree Foundation Art and Design course. This course has seen students accepted to prestigious universities including UAL, Central St. Martins, Goldsmiths and Manchester.

Check out our virtual Creative Arts Exhibition 2020.

Foundation Art and Design (pre-degree)

This highly-regarded, one year pre-degree course taught at our Salisbury and Trowbridge campuses consists of seven mandatory sequential units covering a range of art and design including drawing, painting, basic design, surface and colour, 3D studies, printmaking, photography, digital media and art and design history.

The first part of this course is ‘diagnostic’: you will explore a wide range of media and methods, allowing you to ‘diagnose’ which area fits your talents and aspirations. At Christmas you will choose to specialise in one of four broad areas for the remainder of the course: 3D Design and Craft, Fashion and Textiles, Visual Communications or Fine Art.

Your exploratory learning and personal development will be enriched by visits to museums and exhibitions, and you will have the chance to exhibit your own work at our end-of-year exhibition.

This course has seen students accepted to prestigious universities including UAL, Central St. Martins, Goldsmiths and Manchester.
